![]() It's a type of fungus that occurs naturally in the body. So I started researching and trying everything to combat the fatigue.įinally, I came across something known as candida overgrowth. But what really started killing me was I started feeling extremely fatigued all the time. The jock itch kept coming back regardless of creams. It started after surgery which was accompanied with a few rounds of antibiotics.Ī few months after surgery, I got jock itch for the first time in my life, at 26 years of age. Hopefully you have jock itch like i first thought i had since it can be cured unlike eczema. #SWIMMERS ITCH GUARD SKIN#I will keep using clobetasol because as we all know nothing works like cortisone when it comes to skin problems and if it backfires so be it because personally i can't see it affecting my life more then it already has.Īside from all this what is your situation like? Have you had any skin issues in the past such as eczema or did this come out of nowhere. I was really at a low point in my life when making this post a few months back and i finally went back to work a few weeks ago. Using to much cortisone and then going cold turkey can cause severe side affects which is why i went from using it twice a day to every other day and so on. All that said i still wouldn't say i'm cured if that's even possible. Now sweating wasn't really that big of a problem for me but it was certainly worth a shot considering i would always itch more if i was training and sweating. Aside from this he injected botox into my groin to keep me from sweating in that area. The cream really helped out and i'm still using it every other day to keep the itching at bay. Now these pills don't really do much they are just supposed to help out a bit then he gave me a prescription on clobetasol which is a really strong cortisone cream for severe cases. Now he started off by giving me some pills named desloratadin that i take twice a day. I went to several different dermatologists and i finally met one that sympathized with my situation. Could it be something else except from eczema and jock itch? Like some sort of neurotic skin disease or something? I quit working out because i would always end up going to the bathroom to scratch myself i even took of my underwear at work because it gets to hot and itchy so now i work whiteout any underwear on because i can't stand it otherwise. So now i'm wondering could it be anything other than eczema? The doctors simply say this is my life from now on and eczema just comes and goes on its own and u get 'flares' sometimes but my itch is constant and it's pretty much ruining my life. I easily get sweaty in that that area and i'm always hot there compared to different areas of my body. But the thing with eczema is you get rashes and dry skin and i got none of those my skin looks fine it's not dry or anything but it burns with the fire of a thousand suns. Then they did some allergy test to see if i was allergic to something which also came negative. Been to multiple doctors who thought i had jock itch and finally we did a test for a fungal infection and it came back negative. My groin has been itching like hell for over 2 years and i've tried over 20 different types of creams, gels, pills even different home remedies like coconut oil and apple cider vinegar but nothing helps. This is my first reddit post so bear with me. ![]()
